TV Tuner support for multi-monitors?

So, my room is laid out completely moronically, and I can't face my desk anywhere toward my bed. They're pretty much side by side. As a result, I can't watch TV or DVDs from my computer anymore.

Soooo, I was thinking about buying one of those lower-priced 24" LCDs (likely the Westy...I'm staying awwwwwway from that Soyo), but I'd have to put it on a bookcase away from my computer. I could buy a double-headed video card (to replace the bane of my existence, my AIW 9000) and I could buy a 35' DVI cable (yay monoprice!) but the real question is...

Would MCE, or gpPVR or BeyondTV or SageTV or whatever output TV (and DVDs) to a secondary monitor? Is that hard to configure? Would I have to "move" it over there every time? Does this even make any sense?

I could, of course, just get a cable box and jack it into the LCD, but then I'd lose Tivo/DVD/etc functionality.

Any ideas?

I have the ATI HDTV wonder and it supports dual monitor just fine

as a matter of fact, I'm typing this message on the primary and watching letterman on the secondary.

no, I don't have to drag it over there everytime, windows remember to launch it in the 2nd monitor everytime.

What software do you use? The AIW stuff? It's probably because it's a software card, or maybe my system is underpowered, but I HATED the ATI TV software. Took me YEARS to figure out that bug where the Guideplus thingee crashes if there are weird characters in the name like the ":" in Law and Order SVU. The whole thing was absolute crap.

I've never actually played with MCE, but people like that, so hopefully that'll work.
