Depends on the Tuner. Some tuners will send the sound through the PCI slot. Others require a cable to take the audio from the card and put it throught the Line In of your sound card. In this case you will want to make sure that the Line In is selected under the Recording Controls in the sound control panel.

Recent tuner chips (all Philips, Conexant 2xxxx series) can stream the audio through PCI. Older ones may or may not do that - and if they don't, you'll have to run an analog loop cable into your computer's sound hardware. That's either round the outside into the Line-In jack, or internally, depending on what your TV card and computer have to offer.

On the back of the tuner card there will either be a line out socket or there won't. If there is a line out then you need to run a cable from that line out to the line in on your sound card/ motherboard. If it doesn't have a line out then you will have to adjust the settings. Chances are you will have to select Wave as your recording option.

If your software demands you select an audio source, then look whether you have the TV card's audio capture listed there. That's the PCI streamed digital audio.

If your card's drivers don't offer that, then you'll need an analog cable, as described. Where and how to connect? Time to read the manual ;)

Okay i figured out how to do it trough PCI slot, though my tuner also supports sound output so i can connect it to my sound card (Audigy 2), my question is what should i prefer, is there any difference in quality or preformance between getting sound trough pci or sound card?

Sound through PCI is the preferred method, particularly because then the source clocks for video and audio are the same. This avoids A/V drift in recordings.
