TV Tuner Solution

Does anyone know which is the highest quality PCI TV tuner out there? Bang for buck counts, but really looking to get a decent picture... will be used alongside a PCI express Video card which will be running dual monitors. I have not picked out the video card yet, so I am wide open to suggestions for this new Windows machine build.

Thanks...

What will you be doing with it? Just watching TV? Or will you be using it as a PVR? Have any use for HDTV signals? How about price range? Do you care if the thing uses CPU cycles when viewing/recording movies?

Thanks both of you... *smile*

Schadenfroh... Client says he only wants it for viewing but I think it is worthwhile getting one that does it all.. price is really not much of a concern, but most seem to be no higher than $150, which is fine... and yeah, on that does not chew-up CPU cycles would be excellent.

Thakns again...

Just a heads up - the 650 from ATI has been pulled off the market (mostly) without too much in the way of solid explination from ATI.

Just talked to an ATI sales rep. and the word is that these cards will be re-released in mid-october after undergoing some modifications. The rep also cautioned me not to purchase any cards which are still available until the new revision comes out.

Hmmmm, I don't see it mention anywhere that this thing comes with a remote to operate the TV tuner ... that could be a major bummer.

In that case that would be another $30-$40 for an MS WMC remote.
