TV Tuner Schedule

I was wondering if there was any tv guide for the computer tv tuner that is able to get the tv listings onto the computer without an internet connection? I was wondering because my friend's television is able to do this so I thought maybe if I could get whatever transmission his tv is getting it would work. Not sure if this is possible... any programs that do this?

Sorry, I forgot to mention... this is for straight antenna telelevision, not cable or satellite. My friend, like I said before, is able to do this via an antenna on his tv. He has something called Guide + or something like that.

EDIT: oh yeah, thanks for at least replying. Dizzzy does something stupid and gets like 30 replies and I get 1. Go figure.

Bump, I'd like to know if that's possible too. Currently I just use Guide Plus, which came with my Radeon AIW software.

I have a TV Wonder with Guide+ and it downloads the schedule every week. However, the file is only around 600k so it doesn't take that long. Besides a TV Guide channel or an internet connection, I'm not sure how you could receive the listings.

Also, your friend might have a TV with Guide+ already built in.

Because the computer I have the tv tuner on is not connected to the internet...
