TV Tuner Questions

Is there a tuner out there that can record two S-Video Inputs at the Same Time? I Ask this because I currently have a PVR-150 and CableVision is taking more and more channels off of the cable ready Channel Line up. I mostly record from the un-premium cable channels so would QAM cover that? or do I need to get two boxes and a tuner that can record from two S-Video Sources at once? Thanks

If you record just local programming I would get an HD Homerun, it's futureproof for HD programs, but it's a dual QAM tuner. but if you simply want to record from two S-video sources, just get a second PVR-150 as they can work together and record from your boxes.

One tuner is digital and one is analog.

I want a tuner for my main box just for watching tv. (I want to buy another card and put my current card in my main box) So will a Hauppauge PVR-500 MCE work? I use Sage TV. Is there any thing I can do about the guide (I know the STB has one) but how do I get it to work with sage? I currently set a "VCR Timer" on the box every time I need to record and a "Timed Record" in sage which gets to be a PITA especially if I have to do it all of the time My STB is a Scientific Atlanta 4250HD (It has IEEE 1394 ports on the back can I possibly use one of those to control it VIA my computer? or is there no hope for those ports? Note it's not a DVR box just an HD box from cablevision)

Oh so you're using the box over the firewire port. SageTV should support the guide once you throw an MCE-500 in the box.
