Hey I bought a hauppage (sp?) TV Tuner a while back and haven't been using it because I can't get good reception... I definitely think that it might have to do with the fact that I am just using the original antenna that came with it. If anyone could suggest a good antenna that i could use (it has to have a small sized jack on the end to plug into the PCI card, because the port to plug in the antenna sort of goes "into" the card,). Also I was wondering if there is some better software, that is compatible, then the stuff that came with it. Thanks alot
 
I used to have a tv tuner in my machine a few years back. I started with the Hauppauge. I was hooking it up to the cable. There were a couple of channels which never ever came in clear although the rest of the channels were perfect. THey swapped boards with me but it did not change anything. I then got a Pinnacle board which worked well but their software and support was bad. I then tried an ATI board which worked the best and I liked their software the best too.

I tried a few freeware tuner apps but found them not up the the standards of the software that came with the tuner.
