tv tuner question

Hi everyone,

I really don't know much about video cards so I thought I'd ask you guys. Here's the deal:

My system currently has an ATI all in wonder pro 128 and digital cable tv connected to it. I'm using the viewsonic pf790 19" monitor and the cpu is athlon 800. The picture is fine and I have no problem watching my sportscenter, hbo, etc. However, when I switch to full screen display it gets slightly choppy--not the crystal clear picture I get at 640x480. DVD's at full screen are super clear (as they should be).

Would purchasing one of those super expensive video cards like the radeon all in wonder give me a sharp display at full screen? Or would it be a waste of money? And if so, which card is the best for this situation?

I just got a ATI AIW 7500 and it is crisp and clear in full tv mode. What operating system and what drivers are you using? Check and see if there is an update for them. What full screen resolution are you trying to watch at? 1152x864 here seems nice and smooth with my setup.

EDIT: I am also using a 19" monitor.

Oh yeah, I'm using win xp and on 1152x864 mode as well. I recently d/l the drivers from the ati site last month, so that shouldn't be the issue.
