:Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 1101WB:

I just installed it into Windows Vista Ultimate and got the drivers most up to date from the website, but for some reason everything is fuzzy. i have it in the far left Coax port and
ive definitely changed Coax feeds, and its completely on it and no bare contacts.

any reason u think why it would be fuzzy in both wintv and media center TV?

thanks
Card was just picked up @ newegg couple of days ago

If both are fuzzy then my first guess would be that the signal is weak. How old is the cabling you are using? Are you on Comcast cable or similar, or are you using an antenna? Does connecting the cable directly to a TV also yield fuzzy results?

Hmmm, you say the far left coax input, but that could be the QAM one depending on where you're standing. Try switching coax inputs and trying again.

If using Vista x64, I assume you are experiencing the same issue as occurs with the PVR-150/500 cards.

Here is a FAQ of sorts with some troubleshooting advice:

http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=13627

The most common solution is to disable memory hole remapping (in the BIOS) or remove some of your RAM. Apparently, the device drivers and/or some bug in the Vista kernel causes device memory to get overwritten either sometime or everytime at boot-up.

That thread has been closed, and all "green screen"-related threads have been merged into this one:
