TV Tuner Problems

I have a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 150 and I'm using vista-64 ultimate. I have tried both media center and gpvr and both do the same thing:

From a fresh bootup i can watch tv just fine. If i close media center or gpvr do some things, like browse the net or run a couple games and then go back to watching tv it stutters really bad. Sometimes sound is good but video is choppy other times both are choppy. Any ideas?

Which drivers are you using? It could be a manifestation of Hauppauge's terrible 64bit support for older products.

Vista automatically picked it up and installed the drivers so I'm just using those. I've tried to install Hauppauge's drivers from the cd you download but it says card not detected.

If you're not already on SP1, do that. If it still doesn't work, try these drivers/

4gigs of ram with that tuner breaks it. Its been like that forever and hauppauge isn't going to fix it anytime.

I have the same tuner and it worked fine in my XP with 2GB of ram. Yesterday I put it in my new Vista 64 w/ 4GB of ram... the drivers apparently installed fine but neither WINTV2000 or WINTV6 load up any feed (composite) using the latest everything from the website. Not really up to pulling a stick of RAM to test the 4gb issue. Looks like I may be springing for a more modern version since I'm tired of fussing with this thing (took a lot of trial & error on XP). Any recommendations welcome.

Thanks ViRGE!! So far so good. I've been able to play online, do a bunch of other stuff, come back and still be able to use the Tuner...Great Find!!!

Reporting back that after doing a ton of things, I fired windows media center back up and it still works perfectly...so those drivers are a go for vista 64!

can someone guide me too
having the same issue but on system restart i get a black screen in WMC
Vista 64 6GB RAM
and the driver link given, the final version is out.
Some help here.
