I am looking for a TV tuner PCMCI card formy sony VAIO laptop, VGN-S360.

can you guys recommend a PCMCIA TV tuner card

Also are you planing to run windows media center or something? In that case make sure you have an MCE compatible one like this one, also you might want to consider this nice gadget link so you can switc hthe TV tuner / capture card betweeen your PC and Laptop.

This is the only PCMCIA TV tuners that I found; if hauppage makes one I haven't seen it. (Although they DO make models in USB)

Why would you want to watch TV and your laptop? I have been thinking about getting one of these but just can't justify it when I have a TV, what are the bennefits to this over the actual TV? You have to have cable or something to hook into this don't you?

But you have to already have cable in order to watch it right? So how do you do it? just plug it in to something?

If he could hook a small antanae to it and pick up over the air signals from NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, WB, etc. Would work as well as haveing a portable LCD TV, just with a much bigger screen.
