TV tuner (PCI_X) selection

hi,
i want to buy a TV tuner, but i want to have it as a PCI Xpress interface because i dont have any more place in the PCI socket...

are there any available TV tuner with such interface?

PCI-X is not PCI Express.

PCI Express tuner chips are ready, Philips 7131E and ATI Theater 550E; tuner cards using the former have been presented by the usual suspects (LifeView etc.) but none have made it onto the shelves just yet.

so buying a Philips 7131E or an ATI Theater 550E will work on my PCI-Express slot?

Yes - but that's just the chip names. You'll need to have some company build a card around one of them first.

are they the one i am looking for?

That's got the ATI 550 chip all right. Looks good, I'd go for it. I don't know if its ATI drivers have any known conflicts with your nVidia card - they shouldn't, but it couldn't hurt to look around for any stories of this first. If you don't find anything, then there's a good chance they work well together.
