TV Tuner over my Home Network?

I have a Home network (4 computers), one computer is a dedicated multimedia system in my entertainment system. It has a ATI All-In-Wonder PRO card. I use it for MP3 albums, Recording Movies, Tivo like functions, and Games I would like to view live tv on the other computers in the house Live over the net..Is there software out there for this?

Assuming your computer's got some horsepower behind it, you could run RealProducer and RealServer and encode the TV station as a live broadcast at something like 512K which would be pretty hi quality. The draw back is that you couldn't use that computer for much while it was streaming and you couldn't change channels on the other computers. It's a start though.

I agree with the method used here but might I suggest Microsoft Media instead. Personally, I have had more luck this route but your milage might vary.....

Windows Media

Good Luck,
ERJ

thanks for the input. I'll quess I'll try them both...not really what I was looking for. but, it just might do the trick. Again thanks

I've done it with Window Media Encoder. It doesn't work that well unless you have a pretty serious host computer and network but it is possible.
