TV tuner outputs sound in DScaler, but not in VirtualDub.

I've got one of those no-name TV capture cards in my PC (one of these Pine TV tuners, to be specific) that's allowed me to do some mediocre quality TV captures in the past for AnandTech.

A while ago I did a reinstall of my capture software, and all of a sudden while I do get sound output from the card in DScaler, I can't seem to capture audio in VirtualDub. Has anyone run into anything like this, and may know a solution?
