How good is the image/picture quality of a TV tuner (specifically that of an AIW Radeon) on a nice LCD (specifically the Planar CT1904Z from Hot Deals)? For some reason I think I remember hearing something about it looking poor - however, I may be wrong.

Thanks!

I'm running an ATI TV Wonder with a Hyundai L70A 17" Flatpanel. Image quality is pretty good. Just as good as on a CRT (which means it's not quite as good as a standalone tv, but not much worse and definately watchable). The only drawback as that you have a more limited viewing angle than with a CRT (be that a CRT monitor or tv). I'm in a dorm and sometimes I like to lay on my bed and watch tv. That puts my computer screen at an angle; I can still see the picture but sometimes I have to move around a bit. Just a warning if you're going to use it at a tuner but won't necessarily be sitting in a chair in front of the computer to watch it.

Awesome, thanks for the replies. :) I'm not all that worried about the viewing angles, I can just adjust it a bit if necessary, no worries.

I use an ATI TV Wonder USB with my Dell Inspiron 8200 and TV looks fine on the LCD. IMO it looks just about the same as it would on a CRT.

I had someone with a Daewho 15" CRT and a ATI 4mb card with a TV Tuner...looked better than on a 14" TV IMO.
