TV Tuner For Linux (MPEG2, MPEG4, BT8XX)

Can anyone recommend a good TV Tuner with direct MPEG2 recording capabilities in Linux? Is there currently linux support for Bt8xx chipsets?

Also, anyone know of direct MPEG4 encoding hardware compatible with linux ?
 
BT8xx chipsets don't have compression engines. However they're excellently supported by the BTTV project. Running one on the 2nd screen as I type this; even the remote control that came with the card works 🙂
