TV Tuner Card?

Hi to all. I will be ordering a TV tuner card, and I was wondering if I will be able to use the onboard sound, or will I have to buy a sound card. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Has anyone tried the USB version of the TV Wonder? Thanks,Bob535

can anyone inform me on how these things work...what can i watch? Do i need a cable line to watch these things or a dish? What do i need other then the tv out card? Any extra info will help thanks...

Both of you might want to check out the "Hot Deals" forum before you order those TV Tuner cards.

There might be a terrific deal on the ATI All-In-Wonder 128's coming rather shortly.

On the subject of TV Tuner cards, however, I have a Matrox Marvel G200 with tv capabilities. Love the flexibility of it, and the coolness factor never gets old 😉

okay...but can you tell me how these work...i saw something like a usb wintv tuner card...or something like that...how do these things work?

When you say onboard sound I am assuming you mean built on your motherboard. That should work fine, you don't need a separate sound card to use a tv tuner. My ATI TV wonder can use either a wire from the card to my sound cards line in or an internal auxiliary connection.

To be safe, check out the specs for the tuner and make sure they match up with your sound input capabilities.
