TV Tuner Card

im thinking about buying one.. theres 2 im looking at one has IR and the other has RF.. i dont see a need for RF unless theres software out there to descramble channels, then i can run a svideo from the video out to the tv and use RF to change chanels. has anyone ever heard of descrambling software for tv tuners?

If you get a tuner, you'll get the basic channels but you will need a cable box to descramble the rest of the channels.

then that would be pointless because i could just get a descrambler box on the regular tv line
