Has anybody used or know of any good tv tuner cards with remotes? I've seen a couple with remotes around and they seem like a pretty cool idea. I don't know how well any of them work and was wondering if anybody could recommend one.

I have seen a few ads. You needed to cable the IR sensor to the front of your rig using a 5.25 drive bay harness. Personally, I think is clumsy. The way I have set up my rig is using a VIVO (Video In Video Out) video card and using a VCR. The Video rca plug from the vcr to the Video in, and using a 3.5 plug with 2 rca (left right) from audio out (vcd) to audio in (soundcard). Using the VCR's remote to control the channel.

BTW, my sound card is also hooked up to my stereo amp. giving me better sound quality.

I'm using an ATI TV Wonder, along with the Sigma Designs Remote control, works great! So does Winamp, and PowerDVD as well ;)

I ended up getting an ATI TV Wonder VE for christmas. Tharyn you said you're using a TV Wonder with the Sigma Designs remote? Do you have the Hollywood Plus video card too? On their website they say it only works with the Hollywood Plus. Were you able to use it without the Hollywood Plus? It would be cool if I could buy a remote to use with the TV Wonder.

<< Hauppauge sells one - and I have one and they are REALLY great. Gateway also uses then on their computers. >>

Is it possible to make 'timed-recordings' like a VCR? I am on the lookout myself!
