TV Tuner Card - Sound starts coming from it...

I am having some serious problems with my Leadtek Winfast TV2000 XP Expert TV tuner card. Whether I use Winfast PVR or an alternative TV viewing program such as K!TV, I get sound suddenly coming from the TV card in the middle of Battlefield 2. If I open either of these TV viewing programs to watch something, after I close it, I then start up Battlefield 2. At some stage (sometimes when just at the menu, at other times when the map loads), I suddenly start hearing sound from my TV Card!!! The sound doesn?t go away until I open the TV viewing software again and then close it. I have the most recent driver updates for my TV card too. My system specs are: WinXP SP1, P4 2.8GHz, Gigabyte GA-8IK1100 motherboard, 2GB RAM, Radeon 9800 Pro.

I had a bit of a go with it but didn't fix the sound problem. I currently don't have K!TV open, and have checked in Task Manager too that it is not open, but I can still hear the news at the moment. Battlefield 2 seems to trigger something...

I just went through a few games (Red Alert 2, Age of Empires 3 trial) and when I went to open GTA San Andreas, all sound had gone. I then went back to desktop and found that sound had gone from everything... except when I went to K!TV. It's like the TV Tuner card has taken over the computer's sound.

Just did one more test... opened K!TV then closed it, went into BF2 and it played fine without the TV sound breaking in. Then when I exited it, I opened Outlook Express which caused the sound from the TV card to come back. 😕

email leadtek support it sounds like something they should be aware of. Can say I never heard of this happening but I dont own a leadtek.
