So I have a brand new All-in-Wonder Radeon, and I have a stupid old cable box. When I plug the cable directly into the ATI card, I only get standard cable (not even SciFi...).
So right now I'm changing channels using the cable box, but this eliminates all of the cool TV tuner functions. I noticed that the Tivo has some sort of IR-out capability that changes the cable box based on what you punch in on the Tivo remote. Anyone hear of, or try to hook up, something like that? Any idea where I'd look for something like this?
Or is there some easier hardware solution? I'm not trying to steal cable or anything (I know who to talk to about that), I'm just trying to exercise my rights as an American to see the cable channels that I pay for...
