TV Tuner (bt878) on Windows XP. Blank Video problem

Hi,
I have PIII , Windows XP, Matrox G200 and BT878 based TV Tuner card.

I had installed WinDVR 1.8 sometime back on my PC with BT878 TV Tuner
Card with Remote/FM radio. I also had MAX TV s/w (which came with TV
TUNER card) installed. Both worked fine till recently. Couple of days
back I installed some codec utility (Nimo Codec) and WinDVR stopped
loading (error msg would come up). I uninstalled Nimo. Then WinDVR
would load. But no VIDEO (only BLACK SQUARE window.. without picture).
I could hear audio fine of particular channel. I reinstalled WinDVR
and BT878 drivers. and installed DirectX 8.1. Still problem persists.
I can resize video window, but no picture comes. Its just black
square.

I have had problems as well with Intervideo products, although not with WinDVR.

Until you can sort out the problem with WinDVR, try another program, to see that the fault
is not with the hardware. Freeware solution is Amcap. Commercial solution is PowerVCR
(though you can get the trial version).
