get the ATI tv-wonder

i have gotten maybe TV cards
but im really upset at the quality it gives the signal 🙁

spent sooo much cash on them too 😀
 
Hauppage makes good hardware, their software is suck though. I'd stay away from the USB ones, hopefully the USB2 or firewire ones will be better. (High cpu drain, and if your usb IRQ is shared with another vital component such as sound or video, you're sunk). Kenny's advice is good. Just don't expect too much out of it, and you'll be ok. I like to have the tv in a little window (I run 1600X resolution so I have the real estate) while browsing the web. Fullscreen was pretty f-ugly, but in college, it was ok watching my 19" from my bed.
