I recently got the ATi TV Wonder. So far I like it. If you're not interested in recording too much, get the VE version of the card.

i dig my hauppauge WinTV-D... hauppauge makes a few different models, but whatever you do make sure the card has stereo. the difference between a stereo and mono card is more then you would think.

Another vote for the ATI TV Wonder full version. They are cheap enough, go for the one with video capturing capabilities.

ATI TV wonder doesn't have both NTSC and PAL B/G simultaneously. Correct me if I am wrong, cause the dealer told me so. Also, he mentioned getting the PAL version could be a feat. (I am refering to the CABLE TV format which is PAL B/G here.).
I am living in India, and unfortunately, both Hauppage and ATI are not here. So, I contacted an online dealer (in USA) by email and he told me so.
Also, the cable in India is mono (no stereo), so it doesn't make much difference whether the tuner is mono or stereo. (Its shocking but true).

I dont think that is right. As far as I know ATI wonder is both pal and ntsc compatible. There isnt a pal version and an ntsc version there is only the wonder and the wonder ve.

HERE!

This is a link to the wonder! There is a european version. I'd get the Euro version of the TV wonder. This is by far the best card you can get.

Jeesh, with sucky TV like that, why even watch it. I feel spoiled and fortunate to live in the U.S. As far as I know, my TV Wonder has both NTSC and PAL in the set up options. I am 99% positive, but am not in front of my rig.

Can you use a satelite dish in India?
