Well, I think I might have damaged my TV while i was moving....

When I turn on the TV, the screen flickers and you hear pop sounds from the speaker when it flickers. It does this for about a half hour - hour. It's a 27 in. Sony. I am thinking it could be the power supply.

edit: wait, can't be power supply b/c it does not ficker when i use the a/v inputs.....

heh when i moved my wife droped a 19 inch TV with built in DVD and VCR. it was sopposed to go in my office. sigh women.

I had that problem with my POS Sony. The screen would try to turn on and you'd see a flash across the screen kind of like lightning and a big pop. Then the power light would start blinking.

It's not the power supply but something related I believe. My problem was a bad board (D board) that typically fails in the TV (36XBR400) that Sony denies having problems with. The board itself for my TV costs over $700 alone. After angrily and fruitlessly arguing with Sony over having them fix my less than 2 YO TV, I gave up and trashed that POS and got a new Panasonic.

You would be lucky if its just a power supply.

Sony could go FVCK themselves.

I am guessing the TV is 6 years old. I bought it used a year ago. I used it when i first got it and it caused me no problems. then I kept it in storage for the summer.

Actually, that is the exact problem I have, but i never really noticed if my power light blinked. Plus, when you see the screen flash, you hear this pop sound from the speakers.

Sucks b/c i doubt i will find a TV at that price again.
