How do you hook up a notebook to a tv so that i can use the tv as a monitor?

This is hardly a highly technical question or is it?

Buy a notebook whose graphics engine offers a TV-out port. There are piles of popular models around, mainly those with SiS and VIA integrated-graphics chipsets, and some older designs with S3 Savage-4 graphics.
