Go to IKEA?

$500?? But but... my TV cost $250. I could never understand where's my money going. To my untrained eye, all I see is some wood and glass. I would try IKEA but the nearest one is out of the state.

<--- For an apartment in Mass.

Check out craig's list!

You might even get something for free here

Craigslsit rocks. I got my TV stand there for $20
Works like a charm 😉

What a lot of others are saying - Target, Walmart all have em for like $50-$100.

I dropped by Walmart earlier today. They didn't have any of the cheap tv stands that's on the website. I wonder if they'll be willing to order it for me so I can just pick it up and avoid shipping costs.

Better to go with the "stacked cardboard boxes" than waste money on junk furniture. Good furniture will last the rest of your life. Many people are buying larger TVs, and getting rid of their smaller, quality entertainment centers. This solid cherry unit was being sold for $495 at a local used furniture dealer.. It's got all the storage you need, and looks great closed up. You can use it later in your living room, when you upgrade your family room TV to a huge HDTV. If you take care of it, it will always be worth what you paid for it. Can't say that about a $200 Best Buy TV stand!

Yeah, electronic stores like Best Buy and Circuit City overcharge for TV stands. They are a real high-profit margin item, and are almost as overpriced as those evil "Monster Cables" that they're always trying to push.

You would be better off buying one at Walmart or Target. IKEA has some really nice ones that are dirt cheap, too.

Anything underneath, ciderblock and wood, milk crates and wood, etc. then drape a nice piece of fabric over it. Hemming is easy.

I bought a nice tv table for $40 at Ikea. Painting it was a hassle.

Yeah we got a very spartan red oak stand for our 27" from unfinished furniture and dropped maybe $230 on it. Then we still had to varnish it and stain it. Of course, unlike the sh*t you buy from walmart for $70 and it sags after 6 months, this stand will last forever.

yeah check out target. my gf just furnashed her apt. for not much at all this past week from there, and got some real nice stuff. Oh yea, and garage sales too!

Picked mine up for my 27" TV @ Target on sale for $37 from $50. It looks great with my TV too. Go Target for sure.
