TV Stand / mount question

I'm looking for a TV stand for our house and new TV which happens to be 52". I'd really like a rack + mount setup. And this is one I particularly like. However, it says it fits most TV's up to 50" / TV's up to 150lbs. Well, my TV is well under 150, however it's a 52". Their statement means one of two things to me

A) A most TV's have a mount setup which will work with this stand, but the TV must be under 50" as that is all the stand is rated for regardless of the weight restraint

B) A most TV's which happen to be under 50" will fit this, but 50" and beyond isn't guaranteed. The primary restraint is the weight and any TV that happens to be able to mount to this is fine so long it's under 150lbs.

Also, I don't particularly know if there's even enough room for a TV larger than 50" on the stand, is that the common measure for what TV will fit which stand? Anyways, I have a 2 1/2 year old running around the house and I want to be sure I'm not overloading a mount that's not meant for it. I really like this setup, but the mount/rack combos for 52" + TVs seem to take a huge jump in price and I'd rather just get a stand and set the TV on it if it gets much more expensive.

If you want to be sure, then contact the manufacturer. However, they probably state it'll hold TVs 50" and below because the stand is only 47 1/4" wide. Putting a 60" TV on it would look too big for the stand. The stability of the mount will be mostly based on the weight of the display and not its size. Also, there's little difference between 50" and 52" as far stability goes. I don't think a manufacturer would state its stand will hold a 50" TV if a 52" would be too much for it. The main thing is the weight. Also check the width of your TV if you want to make sure it doesn't overhand the 47 1/4" wide stand.

The more I think about it, the more I believe it's going to be a matter of the bezel clearing the stand itself. I'm guessing I can't just jack the TV up to the highest spot on the stand and expect it to be stable. I'd be happy to conduct a trial and error experiment if I could buy this thing at a local store, but it's too complicated with shipping and such. I think I might just have to go with a regular stand and just set the TV on it.

You could also get a short TV rack and actually wall-mount the TV.

That was the original game plan, but now the TV is going in front of a window to better accomodate a surround-sound setup.

I checked on Amazon, it seems many user reviews show people using this stand to mount their 52" TVs (most of which are Samsung 550/650/750s). I'm going to take a gamble on it and hope my 630 mounts up with no problems. By the looks of these reviews, I'm guessing I'll be ok.

You can get the TRK55B at thenerds.net for less than what the smaller stand costs in your link.

Unfortunately I have recently bought new TV stand. I said unfortunately because after buying it i knew that now a days TV cabinet or stand comes with Lifting facility. Price of TV Lift Cabinet is quite near to any regular stand.

It is too late for me but I thing u will not.

Depending on bezel width, 52" TVs are between ~49" - 50" wide, measure yours; with the Techcraft TRK50B at 47.25" wide a 52" TV will only overhang ~0.9" - 1.4" on each side. The TRK50B has 2 shelves, the TRK55B has 3 shelves. The TRK50B is mount rated for 150 lbs, the TRK55B for 175 lbs.
TRK50B & TRK55B Check the linear view for dimensions. The TRK55B is ~2.5" higher than the TRK50B.
Either stand will work with your TV. It depends on what and how tall the components you are going to put on it are.
Also check out Provantage. Depending on where you live, their prices are better than the Nerds on Techcraft stands.

Another option if you or your wife are in to the cherry/rosewood look is this 57" wide Bush stand from OfficeDepot. With a $30. off $150. purchase coupon it would be $219.99 + tax, free shipping, but no store pickup.
Just noticed that this stand is only rated up to 117 lbs.

I'm on the hunt too for a stand for a 50" plasma I just purchased.
