TV Size - why the huge gap from 32 to 40" diagonal?

I've got a space that is 32" wide and would really like a TV bigger than 32" diagonal, but I can't find a current model that is 33-35" diag. Seems like the next size is 39-40" diag and obviously that simply won't fit. Any thoughts/ideas?

Not much you can do if that size is not available, either go for a TV that fits or find a different space for it. With wall mounting you can pretty much put it anywhere.

The bezel area surrounding the screens of newer TV's is much smaller than it was just a few years ago. Measure the width you have available, and you may be able to find a 40" - 42" model that will fit.

Good luck. :)

With only 32" of space, you're going to need a 36" or smaller diagonal. Unfortunately, there aren't many 36" TVs made anymore.

Yes, 36" diag would be 31.4" width (with no bezel) so even that probably wouldn't work. Seems there were some 34" sets made for awhile but they all had a wider bezel.

37" is a common size, so the jump is really from 32" to 37", but that's obviously still too wide,
although there are 34" ultrawides, but those are still over 32" wide...

the only thing i can think of that might work could be a projector :S.

if it's an old tv cabinet or something, there are probably relatively easy ways to mount a larger display (i.e. use some wood and/or an adjustable wall mount).

Update your furniture.

^ This.

I searched for TV's around 36" - 37" and found a couple, but they're not great and not really current models. All 60 Hz and interlaced.
