TV Show Cheaters...Host got STABBED???

Okay...fessing up that I like the TV show Cheaters, it's a guilty pleasure along the lines of Blind Date and Shipmates....so my Tivo tapes it for me once a week, since it's broadcast at the ungodly time of 3 a.m. Sunday nights...

Anyway, on the episode from this last weekend, the host of the show a guy named Joey is confronting a cheating boyfriend on a boat, and a fight breaks out and he is stabbed by the cheating boyfriend in the stomach...LOTs of blood, rushed to the ambulance, cheating boyfriend arrested, etc...definitely not staged. At the end of the show, they do an update on the situation, and it just basically says that Joey is recovering, and that the cheating boyfriend was released from police custody....

I searched without any luck about an update...Anyone else see that? It was gross, lots of blood, big hole in his stomach.....

Can you give me a brief description of the show? Is it about people confronting their cheating lovers\spouses?

I always thought that show was staged. Many times they have shown hidden camera footage of people "cheating". This hidden camera is in a private place, and i really really doubt that you can place a camera on someone's property and get away with broadcasting it on TV. I do see that when the confront someone, it is always (well from the episodes I saw) in a public place.

Can you give me a brief description of the show? Is it about people confronting their cheating lovers\spouses?

Lol, I have to admit I like that show too I think the host is great because he is so serious it always cracks me up when he confronts the cheater.
For those that have not seen the show basically a person will contact the producers and tell them that they think their so is cheating on them. Cheaters investigates by following the suspected so with cameras and confronts the cheating so once they have enough video evidence.
I would like an update to that show also, I went home this weekend and saw that show and at first I thought he only got punched in the stomach then realized he was bleeding and was stabbed I wonder if he is going to bring a suit against the guy. Did you see that guy fall off the boat, that was pretty funny

this show is crazy. it's awesome.

and about the hiden camera. as long as you have consent of the person who lives tehre, you can use it.

Hey, the crew on that show understand the risks. I'm sorry the dude got stabbed, but he knew that there is always a possibility that someone who is confronted on camera will react violently.

Think about it this way, how many times do you think the crew of Cheaters is shot, but it never makes it to TV?

well it's usually in the cheater's wife/husband's house right? so they would give the permission.

i saw that episode also....yea...pretty wild...

there was another episode where the cheating bf took off in his car with the other woman...cheaters and the gf followed in their van...the bf's car stopped in a parking lot...when the ppl in the van came out to confront him again...he was pointing a gun at them and yelling all types of *bleep* stuff...hehe...needless to say they backed off and left him alone...hehe...

The bubble comments on BLIND DATE are AWESOME. I love watching that show (when I catch it) just for those comments.

I never caught CHEATERS though... surprised things like that don't happen more often. I mean, the guy is being made an AS$ on national tv... I'd be pissed the camera crew just jumps out at me too..

Oh yes... the more I read about TIVO, the more I NEED it.

That show is staged. The last 3 I've seen - when they confronted the dude the 'cheater' was with, he pulled a gun out and everyone scattered. The next show had some weird freak/fetish thing where this chick was cheating on her man with another chick who liked to dress up in Wrestler masks. When they went into the bedroom, there was police tape around the bed, dildos hanging from all 4 bedposts, and in the same episode one of the cheaters threw her man's penis pump at him and he was like "that things not mine." The next one, someone got thrown off a boat and the host got stabbed. They didn't SHOW the stabbing, all the cameras just happened to be pointing the the other way when it happened, and then filmed the rest of the scuffle.

I don't think it used to be staged when it had that other host (he was awesome), but that show is a joke now...

And staged? Geez, did you ever see the emotions involved? I highly doubt it's staged.
