TV shopping advice

Looking for some advice on a new TV purchase. In my main room I've got a 53" panny RPT. The lack of HDMI on the unit though means it has got be replaced as the family room TV. Last year I got one of the 42" panny plasmas and other than disliking the manual channel programming, have no complaints about it. The best buys I can see for this Friday seem pretty limited as far as staying in the 50" range, with only the 46" aquos coming close without hitting the 2K line. Are there any other sales or sites that aren't as publicly known to browse through?

You can get a 50" plasma for under $2,000 without even going out on Black Friday. The Panasonic PX75U & PX77U and Samsung 5054 & 5064 are all good choices.

This 47" Olevia is supposed to be $1,099 at circuitcity.com tomorrow. I'm not sure what time the price will change, but it would probably be a good idea to be ready to add it to your cart at midnight in case they sell out really quickly.

Found out that the TH-50PZ77U was only $1800 earlier this month at CC 🙁
Still higher than I'd like, but a pretty decent price. Was hoping that with 720 panels dropping in price over the last year+ that 1080 panels would be dropping by now too.
