TV Screens in SUVs

I'm not sure but I think I just watched an entire episode of Seinfeld through the back window of a Navigator on my way home. What is up with this? Are people so afraid to interact with their kids that the have to stick TVs even in the car?

Welcome to 1998. They're standard in pretty much any luxury/top of the line SUV/minivan. My uncle had it in his Safari back in '97.

Take a 12 hour drive from Atlanta to Detroit with a youngin' and we'll see how long you last without Elmo!

I think its distracting as all hell to follow someone with a tv screen in their car or SUV thats visiable from 20 ft behind them. Especially when theres porn playing!

God forbid you talk to your children, instead of planting them in front of a TV 😉

Hell, I can't even talk to my wife for more than 30 minutes, you expect me to talk to a 1 1/2 year old screaming her head off because she doesn't want to be in a car seat for that long?!

Do you even have kids??

My '87 Vandura has a 6" TV in it. It NEVER gets used while driving, just in parking lots while one person doesn't want to go into the store or whatever.

no I don't thank <insert imaginary higher power here>

Out by the clubs and stuff you invariably see some huge Navigator with ugly shiny chrome plated wheels sporting LCD screens on the outside part of their sunvisors. I guess it is cool to show off the 5-10 little "TVs" you have in your gas guzzling, overturn prone pimpmobile.

when we finally get our mini-van, I will be putting in a DVD player with wireless headphones. Long tips with 3 kids = short nerves.
