Nightly news reporter Linda Evans was taken from behind by soccer player and boyfriend George Welsh. Teammate Kevin Zucchini commented on the incident.
"We were just screwing around on the pitch when George saw his girlfriend. Caught up in the excitement of the moment, George told me that he was 'gonna hit that'. I have to say, the man has some fancy moves. He was able to maneuver around some tough obstacles while maintaining incredible ball control. He came out of nowhere to score in amazing fashion. Truly the play of the night."
While George himself declined to comment Evans was indifferent to the event.
"I'll admit it was pretty good, but I wish he could focus his energy seriously instead of screwing around. I swear, every time I ask him to empty the dishwasher he 'trips' and rolls around on the ground until I do it. What a pussy."
