TV Question - colors (r/g/b) don't line up

We have a projection hdtv that is a bit old and the colors don't line up. If there is a person on the screen, the r/g/b colors won't be pointing at the some spots. If the tv is on an x y axis, this one is off in both directions for them.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Dunno about a projection TV, but with an old CRT there were rings with magnets around the neck you could adjust to fine tune the convergence.

Sounds like a common problem though.

Adjust your convergence.
If you would have posted this in the correct forum you would have got more answers pertaining to your question.

If they are off by a LOT then you may have to replace the convergence ICs.

Also, this is a Hitachi Ultravision HDTV and it has something called "Magic Focus" that doesn't do anything.

For the convergence, is that a software setting or hardware setting?
