TV picture quality problem

I've got a several year old tv, about 35" I think (sorry, not at home so I can't measure it right now). Anyway, it acts like the red gun is out of alignment or something. Anything that's bright red has a definite "ghost" to the right of it (around 1-1.5 inch shift). Small text (ie the scores in the corner during the upcoming hoops) is nearly unreadable. I've checked other tvs in the house and they're fine, so I'm certain it's a problem with the tv, not the cable.

Any idea what could be wrong, and if it's fixable (for a reasonable price)?

well you could have 2 probs....the text area is a convergence prob...the pix tube needs a convergence alignment

the "ghosting effect" around a red object could indicate a pix tube starting to fail...possibly

Any ideas what a convergence alignment costs? (I know projection tvs have convergence adjust built in, but this is a normal CRT).

Couldn't the red ghosting be due to the convergence problem too? That's what it looks like, like the red is misaligned.
