TV OUT with 9600 pro?

i plug in the wire from my 9600 pro to my tv but in the display properties, it does not give me the option to switch to the tv. any suggestions? thanx

The TV needs to be connected and on when you turn the computer on. Else the TV won't get detected.

No, the TV does not have to be turned on.

yup... the wire just has to be terminated with a 75ohm resistor (which all TVs should have... some old ones are pretty tricky though)

If the card won't engage TV then break out the soldering iron and get busy 😀

the tv i'm using is relatively new and i have tried numerous TV's. infact, the TV i'm testing it on worked fine when i tried TV-out with my laptop but nuttin doin w/ my 9600 pro and 9700 pro. can this be a driver issue?

I had a similar problem with my Radeon 9600, my TV has a RCA connector and the video card, a S-video. I was trying to use an adapter, without success. I even thought my card had a problem (which is almost impossible). The problem was solved after I bought a cable that didn't require an adapter.

The PROBLEM is that this card does not come with a TV-OUT cable, so we have to look for one ourselves.... and a lot of cables out there don't work.
