I know I can go s-video but I was hoping it would be possible to go from my computer to my HDTV for the hi-def look. Is this possible or am I just being silly?
Or a RADEON 9600 or higher and ATI's DVI->component adapter. Also note that you can get DVI->HDMI adapters, if you have a newer TV that can take an HDMI in.
If it has DVI in, just plug it into your PC's video card output like a monitor. You might need something like Powerstrip to tweak the timings/resolution if the TV doesn't like the defaults (you might get over/underscan, etc.)
Yes, but some HDTV's are picky about hooking up with a PC. Nvidia cards are known to have issues with HDTV's that incorrectly identify themselves to the Nvidia card, known as the "EDID bug." It's different for each TV, so it may work fine for you, but some people have problems with certain models.
Quick question relating to the subject, whats the difference between DVI and HDMI, and if I use an adaptor, will I be getting DVI quality picture, or HDMI quality (9800 Pro)?
