TV Out Quality of GF3 or possibly Radeon 8500

Ok Currently I ahve a rig setup that is hooked to my TV all the time, no monitor. I am using the Kyro II card from hercules and the tv out is great, it stays on all the time, no need to set in drivers I can see the post, install an os ETC ETC. However after making the move to XP I took a pretty good hit in performance. Although everything looks great as far as image quality is concerned ith XP, better than me and 2k. DVDs look great, web surfing is great (large fonts set under general tab in advanced properties makes a big difference), and games look great, however they are running a bit slower than they were in winME. I dont want to have to use ME again though I like xp too much lol. Has anyone out there used thier TV out on thier GF3 and if so wahts the quality like? Does it have to be enabled all the time or once its turned on does it stay on? I may considder the radeon 8500 wen it comes out, but I would like to upgrade soon (can still take back the herculese card for store credit. Let me knwo your opinions on this any help is appreciated
