tv-out problem

Hi, I have a Gainward GeForce Ti/500 XP Vivo and I am trying to get the tv-out to work, i have the latest drivers and patches but for the love of monkey it will not work, i know i have the cables setup right and i have tried every configuration imaginable, I was able to get the device selection option but when i select TV and click detect displays it doesn't detect anything, it simply switched it back to the analog settings. What can I do, what could be the problem?

I've tried rearranging cables, boot and connection orders, different plugs in my tv, everything i can think of, no go. The one symptom i can get is when i have only the tv hooked up, i can see windows boot up on my tv, but as soon as windows is loaded, it goes black, as far as i know that would have to be a driver problem, but i don't know what i can do about it since i am using the newest drivers and the prospect of trying every detonator driver made by nvidia doesn't sound kosher.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't know how helpful this is, but with the ATI drivers you need to set a primary output in advanced features. This selects which display (monitor or TV) gets the output, but both will display windows (just not, for example, WMP or DVD playback).

If the Overlay mode "Same on all" is selected then motion video can be displayed on both primary and secondary. If "Theater Mode" is selected then the secondary is full-screen while the primary can remain windowed.

But GremlinHater ain't even getting windows. Since you do get a signal at boot I am inclined to concur it is a driver problem. However, I am not familiar with the NVIDIA gear. Perhaps just try the drivers that came with it.
