TV-OUT or Not?

I am in the market for a new video card. What exactly is TV-OUT and do what do
I need it for?
I am thinking about getting the Gainward GeForce 2 TITANIUM Ti/500XP.
What is VIVO, and is it related to TV-OUT?

Please help me. Also, any suggestions on any other cards are welcome.

VIVO = video in video out. Cards with VIVO ususally cost more than just plain tv-out as they have both video inputs and video outputs.

What TV out does is it allows you to use your computer on your television (using an SVideo cable although u can get an svideo - composite cable adaptor). TV out is usually used to watch DVD movies on your TV, play games on your TV, etc...

VIVO not only lets you connect your computer to your tv, but also vice versa. You can connect a television/vcr/whatever to your computer and capture the image as a video file.

Hope this helps.
