I was wondering, which of these two's tv-out quality would be better for watching videos on a tv, the GForce Ti series or the ATI 9600 series? Thanks

ATi for sure. I've had both an all in wonder and an nvidia tv video card. I'd say the ATi one is alot faster, and the image quality is speechless. The interface is also easy to use. But if you want something for less money, go with nvidia. Problem with nvidia's is that sometimes it lags and skips TV frames (this rarely happens but its a pain the ass when it does)

ignore the guy above. if you have seen his post in the other topics it would be wise to wait til someone who really know what theyare talking about to come in. i know that i have only used nvidia for tv out and i like it alot but have no idea if it is better than ati or not.

This was a while ago, but I think I actually liked the tv out from my radeon 9500pro more than the output from my Geforce3 Ti200. I'm not sure if that would apply to you. (Are you talking about the Geforce4 Ti cards?)

The component out from a 9800pro and a 6600gt were both very good.

I didn't notice any quality difference changing from s-video out on my 9500pro to my 9800pro... both were very good.
I think I remember the Geforce3 being slightly worse (not as much control over sharpness, flickering, etc. but this may have changed with new drivers).

note: I had reasons for getting several many cards from basically the same general performance level :p
