I have an Asus notebook with the integrated Intel 82852/82855 graphic card which does not have TV-Out onboard, only VGA out.

I've tried a Vga-RCA/SVideo converter, which does not work, I think because the graphic card just does not support TV-OUT.

So I wonder is there anyway I can do TV-Out from the laptop? Perhaps a USB TV-tuner? Will that work?

Try a scan converter.
If an external monitor works, scan converter works.
An added benefit will be that the scan converters TV out will be better and more feature rich than any onboard TV out solution. Onboard is an after thought for many video cards, but a scan converter has one mission. VGA to TV out, and it does it great!

Echo the scan converter. It is really essential. You can understand why if you peruse this guide:

Scan

For a laptop/notebook, you need a self-contained external model with an apporpriate power source. They range in price from about $75 to over two thou.

Recommend one with S video out and a TV with S video in. Most current models have that.

Thanks for the input.

I snapped this Avermedia Quickplay, hope it does what I need.

As long as you're not expecting text out of it, that'll do perfectly - and that's more a limitation of standard-definition TV, as shown by the idiot in the Amazon reviews who gave it a 1/5. Note to self - log into Amazon later and take a dump on his writing. :p
