TV not working

Hello,

I have a Sony KDL-46EX500 TV. The TV will not power on. I get 2 flashing red lights on the power LED. When I click the power button (either on the side panel or on the remote) I can hear what sounds like a relay clicking. When I release the power button the relay clicks again. I sounds like the relay is not staying closed. I'm not sure where this relay is located. I have unplugged the TV for extended periods of time to "reset" the main board.

Everything I've researched indicates a bad power board. I ordered another one from eBay and replaced it. Still having the same problem with the same symptoms. Seller said the board was working.

What else could be the problem? If it is a bad relay, where would this be? I can't find anything on the power board that looks like a relay but I'm not an electronic tech.

Thanks for your assistance.

A bad relay would mean you wouldn't hear any clicking. It sounds like it's something on the mainboard, the power board is probably waiting for a response, or worse it is sensing a short and opening back up.
