im trying to get mce working or any other thing for that matter under vista 64 however my card doesnt show anything and it is very laggy...anyone have any of the same problems...i am quite upset with vista 64 it has been a pain in the @ss to install and get things working??any helps...im using the hauppage 500mce addition card

Thanx

Do you have the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard, and also the latest bios for that board?

I used the Vista 64 beta driver (listed in its site, two months ago) and it has worked fine since.
My advice is that stay away from Happauge applications, use only its driver.
Let MCE does the rest.
Mine is Vista 64 Home Prem., btw.

Could be the driver,FYI I'm using a Leadtek DTV tuner USB2.0 on my Vista x64 and it runs great, all I did was install the driver then setup the DTV in Windows Media Centre,so I don't think you can really blame Vista x64,bad driver from Happauge more like.

All I can suggest is double check all your drivers and see if there is a different driver(maybe older or newer you can use).

As my last post said "Mine runs fine".
Google around to see if someone may share your problem.
My bet is the driver you used.
Send Happauge's tech support an email asking for help.

ya ive searched everything...lol ill talk to them and find out what they say...i wonder if its a problem with my mobo and the card both...thanx for the help guys its been quite frustrating since vista ultimate 32bit worked fine with my card

just an update on my issue i talked to happauge and they said it has to do with 4 gigs of ram....i took out one of my sticks and it works fine!!! thanx for all your guys help!!

Sounds like a similar problem to the Creative XFI 4gig issue. No other workaround other than removing a sitck eh? That sucks but glad you tracked it down (<-- adds to notes as I suspect this will be asked again)

Mine is a WinTV1600 and I'm using the beta driver.
Ask tech support for a beta driver.
Again mine is Vista 64 with 4gb of ram.

Sucks that you have to remove a stick of ram to get this to work.

I have two ATI Theatre 550 cards, 4gigs of ram, on Vista Ultimate 64-bit and i didn't even have to install drivers for the tuner cards. They are recognized and fully functional in Vista right out of the box.
