I just got a SWEET deal.

32" Westinghouse LCD HDTV for $35.

The problem is that after a while the TV shuts off cuz the PSU is overheating.

Anyone know of a good forum for this kind of stuff?

Fixable. I'm not doing it though. Noone will - inverters on LCD's are hot shit (ha! a double pun - because the voltage is high enough to kill you on the LCD backlight inverter AND they run very warm!)

Most TV tech stuff is kept under wraps - these guys make money doing it and won't let you in their little club. AVSFORUM might help, but not really how deep you wanna go.

If it's overheating, could you jerry-rig a Fan/heatsink in there somehow? Might be worth trying a fan at least.

He said as long as you put a fan by the TV it works fine.

What do you guys think about mounting a case fan right by the psu?

I'm planning on buying a 32" HDTV. Well my option was Panasonic lx80 but I've read in some forums that plasma tvs have better picture quality compared to LCD panels. I'm planning on using this on ps3 gaming, movie watching and as pc monitor. So anybody could please help me regarding this?
