i have a very old Vizio Gallevia 42"...the first 1080p one they had.

I have my PC connected via HDMI (radeon 5850 on win 7 pro)
TV wants to say 720p is "native" but will read 1080p just fine. Reading in the manual...it seems RGB connection COULD read 1080p native but I guess it doesn't matter...pc's in 2006-2007 were not using HDMI.
The V+H Position had to be adjusted to fill the overlay gaps on the screen. There were even bigger gaps before I had ATI Catalyst set "Overscan" to 0.
------------
Question: Is it possible my screen flickers because it doesnt read PC input very well via HDMI?
Could there be a problem between the version differences of HDMI on my 5850 and HDMI on my TV?
Would RGB be a downgrade?
Screen flickering seemed worse when my 2nd monitor (my actual pc monitor) went into sleep mode. Flickering still seen even without my 2nd monitor connected.
Thanks!
