This might not be the right forum for this, but there isn't really a forum to talk about tv's and dvd players ect.....ect..... Here's the thing. have a new tv with the s-video all the good stuff. have an old tv. with nothing but cable in in the back, and some vhf, and uhf spots. anyway, I can hook up the dvd player to both tvs???

You can hook it to the newer TV without a problem. The older TV will cause problems, as the DVD player needs either svideo or RCA type jacks on the back of the TV recieving the signal. You won't be able to run it through a VCR, as the copyprotection on the DVD (macrovision) will fade the darkness in and out, making it unwatchable.

you can get a RF Modulator to convert the output on the DVD player to a regular coaxial cable type connection. This works, however, you will really not be seeing what DVD is capable of on that TV.

You might be able to run it through a VCR----I have my DVD player running through a JVC VCR and have no problems watching movies----I do get a blank screen if I try recording, though.
