TV display issues

Hey, I currently have a ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB with an S-Video out port hooked up to a 27" Sony Trinitron, also through an S-video port. On my TV, whether it is playing a video file or just showing the desktop, it has horizontal bands moving from the bottom to the top of the display. The max resolution for the TV is 1024x768 at 60 Hz. Video remains good, but bands movement is constant and causes slight distortion and is obvious enough to be annoying. Any ideas on how to fix this, I have tried a few things but my knowledge is that of the help section from ATi, I don't really know any technical specifics or anything of that nature. Thanks alot.

Just to note what I have tried, I have tried changing the display rate to 60 Hz from 75 Hz to no avail. In my mind I thought it would just treat the TV like a large monitor so I don't understand why the bands are on screen. Thanks again.

I didn't notice any problems on my 9800pro to my 36" trinitron before I got rid of it... well both actually.

I don't know if this would seem like a good idea to you, but there's a DVI to component adapter for the 9800pro cards that would allow a component connection to your tv. I'm not sure if that would solve your problem, but if you can't find another solution it might be something to try.

EDIT: whoops, just saw you already solved it with help from the video forum (I've been away for a couple weeks and I'm trying to catch up)
