TV-Card doesn't have sound since I installed the GTXP? *Update: Sound not passed to the digital out? WTF?!*

I just bought a new soundcard as some of you may know, and now, the TV-Card has no sound. But if I record something per virtualdub, and play the video afterwords, there is sound. I hooked the line-out of the tv-card to the line-in of the soundcard. It's actually correct, cuz otherwise, I wouldn't have sound on the recorded video. It seems like the sound from the line-in wouldn't be passed thru to the digital-out of the breakout box.

I really appreciate your help.

Thanx

[Edit]OK, that's weird. If I hook up the headphones to the breakout box, I can hear the sound from the tv-card. So it's really just the problem with the digital-out I guess. Crap.[/Edit]

Go to the GTXP control panel, and make sure your digital output is properly configured. In the mixer tab, make sure it's not muted and that the right one is selected.(Optical or coax)

Also check the "Other" tab, digital out has to be set to "Main outputs".

LMAO! :D, I think I'm the AT member in your sig... I remember saying that in a thread...

It's 2.1. I have the Cambridge Digital 1500 something.... I'll change that and look if it has an impact.

OK,
I can't believe it. I just received a mail from Hercules, and they say that the sound isn't passed through to the digital-out. What the heck are they thinking? They said, I have to use analog in that case. I gonna call them tonight, and if that's true, I'll return the card :|

The card will not pass an ANALOG signal over the digital stream

correct me if i am wrong, but you would not get 5.1 AC3 rather PCM with is regular 2 ch through digital even if the GTXP does pass it.
