TV card detected as scanner in Linux

In Mandriva's HardDrake program (hardware enumeration like Device Manager in WinXP), it lists my TV card as both a scanner and an unknown device, 2 separate items with the same name. In the scanner one it appears it's using 'libusb'. How do I change the driver a device uses, like an Update Driver in WinXP? I want to change it to bttv. I apologize for making so many threads lately.
