TV Capture using Win TV

How do you guys go about capturing TV shows using a TV Tuner?

This is what I do, but its not the most convenient method. I'm looking for something more like a VCR 🙂

1) Run "AMCap", the capture application that comes with it.
2) Setup Sound Capture source to Aux
3) Select a file for capture and allocate file space for it
4) Click on capture when you want to.
5) Convert the file to DivX/MPEG

The bad this is that the file size it a constant. If you set the file size to 1 GB, then even if you capture 3 mins of video, the AVI filesize is 1GB. Then when you compress it goes down to 20-30 MB.

I capture on 320X240@16bit. Set file size to 5 GB and then use VirtualDub to convert to DivX. This is done on a WinXP/P3-900/512MB/45GB@7200
